What is UbuCon Summit

Some of our Ubuntu readers might remember that fact that Canonical organized a developer conference called Ubuntu Developer Summit (abbreviated UDS) a few years ago, which was killed by Mark Shuttleworth and transformed into an online event called Ubuntu Online Summit (UOS).

Well, believe it or not, Canonical and Mark Shuttleworth decided to revive the popular developer conference that gather together some of the most important names in the Ubuntu community under the name of UbuCon Summit. In 2016, the UbuCon Summit event will take place in next week, between January 21 and 22.

UbuCon Summit 2016 will be held during the SCALE 14x Southern California Linux Expo that will take place in Pasadena, California, United States of America (USA), hosted at Pasadena Convention Center. For more details, visit the official website of the event, where you can also register. Be there if you want to attend and win a Dell XPS 13 Ubuntu laptop.
