pcappdate. Tablet sales have been in a slump as of late, but even so, if you are currently looking for one, you might want to take a look at LG’s new G Pad II 10.1.
The slate arrives with a 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and draws life from a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26GHz in combination with 2GB of RAM.
LG also throws in 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot), plus a 5MP/2MP camera combo and a chunky 7,400 mAh battery to keep everything alive. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is the default operating system on board, but an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow might be delivered by the company at a later date.
The LG G Pad II 10.1 sounds like a decent tablet to have around especially since it bundles a few unique tricks. For starters, the display takes advantage of something called Reader Mode, which is a system that reduces the blue light on the screen’s backlighting for reading in optimal conditions.
The G Pad II 10.1 also boasts Dual Window, so users can run apps side by side, a feature we have seen in some Samsung tablets and iPads. Last but not least, QuickMemo+ will let you create and save apps from any screen.
LG hasn’t mentioned how much it will charge for the G Pad II 10.1, but we do know there will be LTE and Wi-Fi models to choose from. The tablet will probably be sold in the US and Europe.
