pcappdate. If you happen to own an Android Wear device and Skype is your main communication tool, then you will be pleased to know that Microsoft added support for these devices in the latest update.
Skype 6.4 has just been pushed to Google Play Store and brings new ways to manage conversations on Android Wear devices, including Huawei Watch, LG Watch Urbane, Asus ZenWatch, and Moto 360.
With the latest version of Skype for Android, users will “get notified of and read new messages from your friends and family directly on your Android Wear device,” Microsoft confirms in a blog post.
Obviously, Android Wear owners will be able to reply to messages directly from their smartwatches using voice-to-text by speaking to their wrists.
In addition, Microsoft also added the option to select from a set of pre-written responses or simply respond with an emoji.
Furthermore, Android Wear owners will now be able to see who's calling them on their smartwatches. This means that they can decline incoming calls from their wrists if they don’t want to take those calls.
You can now mute or pause incoming calls
Also, they can access incoming calls on their Android Wear devices and use Skype on their Android smartphones using the microphone, headphones, or a wireless Bluetooth speaker or headset.
Developers also added the option to mute, hang up, or pause and switch to another incoming call while already on a call.
These are all the changes included in the latest update for Skype for Android, but we expect Microsoft to continue to improve its application even further with new features and improvements.
If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Skype for Android 6.4 for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
