Halo: Tales from Slipspace Graphic Novel Will Deliver New Stories on October 12

The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are announcing that they are working on a new graphical novel associated with the Halo series, called Halo: Tales from Slipspace, which is set to be offered to all interested fans on October 12 of this year in collaboration with Dark Hose Comics.

The book will feature entirely new stories linked to the universe, but at the moment, the involved companies are unwilling to introduce details about the actual narratives that will be explored or to reveal the official cover.

The list of writers that are involved with Halo: Tales from Slipspace include, according to the official site, Frank O'Connor, the creative director at 343 Industries, Tyler Jeffers, the franchise producer, as well as Jonathan Wayshak, Eric Nguyen, Alex Irvine, Kody Chamberlain, Dave Crosland, John Jackson Miller, Jonathan Goff, Simon Roy, and Duffy Boudreau.

The developers add, "we’re confident that lore fans will be excited by the breadth of tales we’ll be telling. From subject matter to stylization, Halo: Tales from Slipspace will take fans on a diverse and delightful jaunt across the Halo universe, and is penciled in to be in your fabulous fan-hands on October 12, 2016."

Halo is also getting an expansion for Fleet Battles
Fans of the universe will be able to pick up and use new spaceships for the official combat-focused title from Spartan Games, and the company is apparently set to reveal yet another title linked to the Master Chief powered universe soon.

The Valiant-class super cruiser and the CPV Covenant heavy destroyer are joining the game, with 343 Industries offering a deeper look at the lore behind the two vessels.

Microsoft has said that it will be announcing a number of new side projects for  Halo during 2016 to make sure that the most dedicated of fans have something interesting to enjoy that's linked to their favorite franchise.

343 Industries is also working on new multiplayer-focused content for Halo 5: Guardians, with the new Ghosts of Meridian DLC, set to be launched for free at the start of April, delivering a new map, more REQ cards, and other tweaks.

During the summer, the developers are also aiming to introduce a new Warzone Firefight experience, a Player versus Environment mode that the player community has been asking for since the shooter was launched.

A new Halo title for the Xbox One will probably be announced late this year for launch in 2017.
