pcappdate. LG’s flagship smartphone, the G5, is already available for pre-order in the United States and some European countries. The South Korean handset also offers some incentive to those who pre-order the device, but little was known about the LG G5’s availability.
Today, LG has announced it will start the global rollout of the G5 on March 31. The first country where LG G5 will hit shelves is South Korea, but the United States will follow just one day later.
LG G5 will be available for pre-order with some freebies in tow, but depending on the country, customers will get an accessory or a price discount.
Price discounts and free bundles
For example, in the United States, LG G5 is available for only $700 with purchase and activation of a 2-year contract with one of the carriers (Sprint). In addition, customers can also receive a $100 Best Buy gift card with the purchase and activation of monthly installment plan.
On top of the promos mentioned earlier, each customer who pre-orders the smartphone will receive a free bundle worth $90, which includes a replacement battery, charging cradle, and USB-C to microUSB adapter.
Along with the announcement regarding G5’s availability, LG has also announced the price of the smartphone and how much the LG Friends will cost.
First of all, LG G5 should be available for purchase for $800 outright, but prices may vary by country. Also, the Cam Plus camera grip introduced by LG at MWC 2016 will be available for $85 whereas the Bang & Olufsen DAC audio chip will cost no less than $160.
It’s also worth mentioning that while LG announced the G5 will be available in Titan, Gold, Pink and Silver color variants, customers might have trouble finding their favorite color in some countries. These details will probably be revealed locally by carriers and retailers in each country.
