pcappdate. We already know Samsung plans to launch a new family of smartphones that will probably be aimed at emerging markets considering the latest info we have on the specs.
For example, the Galaxy Grand On looks like an entry-level smartphone, which will probably be initially launched in China.
There have been many rumors concerning this particular smartphone, but Samsung has yet to confirm any information leaked in the last couple of months.
The good news is Samsung Galaxy Grand On has just been certified at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, which hints at a possible release very soon.
Along with the certification at TENAA, we also get confirmation on some of the Galaxy Grand On specs, which were previously rumored.
The smartphone might cost around $105 outright
So, the Galaxy Grand On will be powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor, despite previous rumors that were pointing to a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 chipset.
Furthermore, the smartphone will be equipped with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Also, Samsung Galaxy Grand On sports a 5.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display that support HD (720p) resolution. On the back, the device has been confirmed to pack an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording.
In the front, there's a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. When it comes to connectivity, the Galaxy Grand On includes TD-LTE, LTE FDD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with AGPS support and microUSB 2.0.
Last but not least, Samsung Galaxy Grand On will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
One last piece of information Samsung fans might want to know is that the Galaxy Grand On will be powered by a 2,600 mAh battery, but this detail hasn't been confirmed by TENAA yet.
