pcappdate. Samsung is expected to launch at least a few mid-range Android smartphones in the next couple of weeks. We’ve already reported about two of them, the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016), which should be launched very soon.
The fact that both smartphones have been certified at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, provided us with some of the phones’ specs and pictures.
Today, a new set of images showing the Galaxy J7 (2016) have been published by German website Winfuture.de. These are press renders of the mid-range smartphone, so Samsung fans can get a clear view of the device.
If you’ve been following our news, then you already know about the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) press renders that leaked online a few days ago.
The Galaxy J7 (2016) is not too different when it comes to design. It’s a little bit bigger but features the same logo of China Mobile carrier.
Chinese and international model might include different specs
As for the rest of the specs, Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is a regular mid-range smartphone that should come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system onboard, though this piece of information hasn’t been confirmed yet.
However, we do know that the Galaxy J7 (2016) sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.
The smartphone is equipped with either an octa-core Exynos 7870 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
At the back, the phone packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera. There’s no mention of battery yet, and it’s unclear whether or not Samsung will add a fingerprint sensor as well.
No word on availability and price at the moment, but we suspect Samsung might introduce both Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 (2016) smartphones in China in the next couple of weeks.
