pcappdate. The team at Ubisoft in charge of The Division is announcing that the weekly downtime for the servers that support the mix of shooter and online experience will start on Tuesday, March 22, at 9 AM Central European Time, the equivalent of 1 AM Pacific Daylight Time.
The company is saying on the official forums that the game will be out of action for about 3 hours and that it will offer an official update when all the features are back online and it's all right for gamers to log in.
Ubisoft also mentions that it will offer official patch notes for the update that will be delivered for The Division tomorrow, which probably means that this is the bigger patch that the company has been talking about during the previous week.
The company has made it clear that the nature of its title means that a few hours during each week will be needed for maintenance but has said that it wants to reduce the required time to make sure that gamers can play for as long as possible.
According to Ubisoft, it is planning to make tweaks to the mechanics based on both the data it collects from play sessions and the feedback offered by gamers.
A loot cave might be eliminated from The Division
The development team has been suggesting that it plans to eliminate a so-called loot cave and area of the game where players can pick up a lot of powerful gear as long as they are ready to play through the same mission again and again.
The player community says that it is easy to pick up a range of items from the Bullet King in the Autumn Hope area of The Division and that there are other such instances in the game that should be eliminated.
Ubisoft is aiming to make all the main features of the title work as they should before it launches the first free downloadable content update in April, called Incursion, which will add a new Player versus Environment activity for gamers who are high-level.
The company is also aiming to make Dark Zone action more exciting, with better rewards and less punishment for going rogue.
A second incursion will arrive for free in May, and starting June, The Division will receive three DLC packs that are paid and will introduce new game modes, more areas of New York to explore, and a powerful new faction to fight against.
